Job Title: Web Developer

Reports to:  VP of Operations

Job Summary

For this position we are looking for a mid-level web developer to design and implement customer projects using a large powerful document processing and web delivery application. The implementations primarily use FreeMarker, JavaScript and CSS.  They also can include advanced XML processing capabilities using SAX and XSLT.

Responsibilities

  • Gather customer requirements and provide estimated effort for web development tasks
  • Design and implement updates to the core content delivery application to meet customer requirements through use of FreeMarker, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, CSS, SCSS and HTML
  • Collaborate with other team members and customers

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in Free Marker, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, CSS, SCSS and HTML
  • Working knowledge of BootStrap, JQuery, Responsive UI Design
  • Working knowledge of DITA XML framework
  • Working knowledge of Java and/or C#
  • Experience with web publishing or structured content management (authoring through delivery)
  • Good working knowledge of requirements analysis and task estimation
  • Solid working knowledge of source control systems such as Git and Tortoise SVN
  • Knowledge of and experience with the entire Software Development Lifecycle
  • Use of issue tracking system

Preferred Skills

  • Preference given to applicants with Graduate Degree and requisite technical skills
  • Other applicants must have at least 7 years of experience in web development
  • Additional attributes: self-starter, quick learner, knowledge sharing
