Joe Jenkins Joins Oberon Technologies as
Vice President of Business Development/Life Sciences
March 15, 2010, Ann Arbor, Michigan – Oberon Technologies, provider of automated publishing and XML-based software solutions, announced today Joe Jenkins has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development with a focus in Life Sciences.
Joe Jenkins brings more than 20 years of experience in business consulting and software development—encompassing the entire software development lifecycle—with more than 14 years focused on Life Sciences consulting in the areas of information management, content management, product labeling, medical communications and regulatory submissions. He is a frequent speaker at Life Sciences industry events and has written papers on the use of evolving technologies to deliver operational improvements to organizations.
Prior to joining Oberon, Joe Jenkins was President of Inpharmatics Solutions Group, a strategic consulting firm focused on the Life Sciences industry. In this role, Jenkins developed strategic IT and business roadmaps for leading global pharmaceutical firms in areas including global labeling lifecycle management, enterprise product information, structured content, content management and collaboration. Additionally, Jenkins developed product strategies for vendors supporting the Life Sciences industry.
In his new role with Oberon Technologies, Jenkins will be responsible for driving all Life Sciences initiatives, including business development, project delivery and development of new service and solution offerings. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Life Sciences industry in developing solutions to support publishing standards as well as serving on the committees that define the standards, including Health Level 7, Structured Product Labeling Working Group, Drug Information Association, and OASIS Pharmaceutical Sub-committee.
