Oberon Technologies Announces Arbortext Adapter for IBM FileNet P8

Ann Arbor, MI – September 25, 2009 — Oberon Technologies, provider of automated publishing and XML-based software solutions, announced today that they are near completion in development of an adapter that will enable PTC Arbortext to communicate directly with IBM FileNet P8. As a PTC Solutions Partner and an IBM ECM ValueNet Technology Partner, Oberon is best suited to build an adapter between these two products.

With this new adapter, companies can improve reuse, collaboration and publishing by enabling authors to access core functions of FileNet P8 directly from the Arbortext interface. Through this adapter integration, authors will have secure access to check-in/check-out, revision control, repository search, “where-used” functions, and other content management functionality.

This adapter will provides a seamless interface to create information as topics in Arbortext Editor, store the topics in FileNet P8, and reuse the topics in a variety of compound documents that can be automatically assembled and published to multiple media and audiences.

“Companies will find with the Arbortext/FileNet P8 adapter, they will reduce the cost of maintaining and publishing their information,” said Scott Youngblom of Oberon Technologies. “This adapter will provide companies with the ability to more effectively share and reuse information across the enterprise for better quality information produced at a lower cost.”

Oberon Technologies is planning for development to be completed by the end of the 3rd Quarter 2009.
